Full-bore automatic-type air couplers feature an integrated ball valve that allows zero pressure to connect/disconnect and full flow when coupled. They come in two body sizes for industrial interchange plugs that conform to MIL-C-4109 and ISO 6150B. Connection actuates the outer sleeve which rotates the ball valve to allow unrestricted airflow from one connection to the other. Disconnection is made with the outer sleeve. This rotates the ball valve to shut off air supply and safely vent downstream air, which eliminates hose whip and shock.
