New Control Option Makes Pump More Versatile

Feb. 22, 2018
Danfoss Power Solutions' NFPE control option enables OEMs to use its MP1 pump as an automotive-type control.

A Non-Feedback Proportional Electric (NFPE) control option for Danfoss Power Solutions’ MP1 closed-circuit, axial-piston pumps will be available in early 2018 as a standard option for all MP1 frame sizes (28/32 and 38/45 cm³). Implementing the NFPE control option enables OEMs to use the MP1 pump as an automotive-type control by combining MP1 pump portfolio with Danfoss controllers and software. The NFPE option is designed to enhance applications such as compact wheel loaders, dumpers, sweepers, and telehandlers.

The scope of MP1 applications is broadened with the control portfolio that now includes three-position electric control, electrical displacement control, manual displacement control, and now the NFPE control.

The benefits of implementing the NFPE control option to the MP1 pump include:

  • High system efficiency while aligning with Tier-IV and Stage 5-compliant engines.
  • Compatibility with Danfoss automotive controllers and software, ensuring machines achieve high productivity.
  • Built-in flexibility through common pump platforms for controls and porting; this modularity reduces manufacturing variation for simplified component sourcing and improves time to market.
