Each year, iVT Expo USA spotlights the technologies and trends shaping off-highway equipment designs.
iVT Expo USA is an annual event geared toward engineers and design teams developing mobile off-highway machinery and the technologies utilized in them. The 2026 event takes place August 19-20 in Rosemont, IL.
The 2026 edition of the show will feature several recent hydraulics technology developments as hydraulic components and systems remain critical to the operation of excavators, tractors and other mobile off-highway machinery.
Many of the solutions on display this year will focus on the growing integration of electronics into hydraulics as well as the need for full system solutions.
Integrating sensors and other electronics can bring a number of performance improvements such as increased precision, a feature that is gaining in importance as automation grows in the mobile equipment industry.
Moving beyond simply providing components to offering full system solutions is not a new trend, but one that is becoming increasingly important for OEMs building both mobile and industrial machinery. Design teams are strapped for time and may not have all the expertise required to work with the various technologies now being integrated into machines.
Full system solutions help overcome these challenges though as much of the component sourcing, design and validation work is already completed. Often times, the design team can simply connect the system where needed in a machine and move on to other design work that may require more of their time and expertise.
Highlighted in this piece are some of the hydraulics technologies that will be on display at iVT Expo USA 2026 which demonstrate these as well as other trends influencing technological developments in the fluid power industry for mobile machinery applications.

- sensors and other electronic controls.
Darren Lockyer, Bailey’s Vice President of Electronics, will also give a presentation during the National Fluid Power Association’s (NFPA) Advanced Hydraulics Conference entitled “From Components to Intelligence: The Evolution of Off-Highway Vehicles.”
His presentation will explore how electrification, connectivity and intelligent controls are changing the way off-highway machines are designed and operated.
Bosch Rexroth and HydraForce Displaying Range of Compact Hydraulics Solutions
Bosch Rexroth and HydraForce plan to show their integrated portfolio of compact hydraulics technologies comprised of hydraulic, electrohydraulic and software solutions.
Among the technologies on display will be the new EVDR-1206A General-Purpose Valve Driver, a 12-output, six-input controller engineered for hydraulic proportional valve applications which enables precise control of advanced hydraulic functions. It can be configured using HydraForce’s HF-Impulse 2.0 development platform which provides an intuitive interface to help simplify controller setup.
Other technologies on display at the companies’ booth will include:
- Hybrid Hydraulic System Solutions: By merging modular screw-in Cartridge Valves in a manifold with the multifunctionality of our stackable Compact Directional Valves (CDVs), HydraForce hybrid solutions provide all-in-one, scalable, space-saving solutions for construction and mobile machinery.
- Transmission Solutions: Optimize transmission performance with Bosch Rexroth and HydraForce solutions engineered for precise pressure control, smooth gear shifting and reliable load management. Designed for high-flow shifting applications, the HydraForce TS90-G34 pilot-operated reducing valve is now available with a Low Leakage option for high-flow shifting applications. The Bosch Rexroth DRE05SK direct-acting cartridge valve combines high-flow capacity with fast response, stable operation and low leakage for enhanced machine performance.
- Load Holding Valves: Engineered for maximum reliability in mobile machines like mini-excavators and loaders, these compact, energy-efficient valves optimize load management, reduce wear and enhance operational stability. Ideal for construction and agricultural machinery and material handling.
- EHBL Digital Boom Control Valve: HydraForce’s EHBL valve is an electro-proportional relief solution that offers flow capacity up to 454 l/min and reduced energy consumption to help enhance productivity.
- EDG-OBE Piloted Compact Directional Valves: Bosch Rexroth’s modular EDG-OBE valve, complete with integrated electronics, provides precision and reliability for applications like aerial platforms, forklifts and agricultural cranes, where safety and control are paramount.
- Oil Condition Sensor: Developed in partnership with Tan Delta Systems, this sensor enables real-time oil quality monitoring, ensuring proactive maintenance and preventing costly failures. It supports sustainability by optimizing resources and reducing waste, making it perfect for industries such as agriculture, construction and mining.
- Compact Power Modules (Hydraulic Power Units): A full line of Compact Power Modules (Hydraulic Power Unit) that provide a ready source of continuous hydraulic power for mobile and light industrial applications for scissor lifts, car lifts, trailers, forklifts, dock applications, truck platforms, and tailgates.
GS Global Resources Exhibiting All-in-One Hydraulic Power Units with Integrated Controls
GS Global Resources is another company that will be demonstrating the integration of hydraulics and electronics at its iVT Expo booth. The company will exhibit its all-in-one hydraulic power units with integrated controls.
Combining hydraulic components and electronic controls into a single enclosed system keeps components protected while ensuring all technologies within the system will work well together. This also helps to minimize points of failure and reduce maintenance.
With this hydraulic power unit, design and installation is eased for OEM customers as all necessary components are contained in a single plug-and-play system. The company says customers simply need to connect hoses and power, and they are ready to go. This helps to ease the overall design process for OEMs by reducing the amount of component sourcing and design time they might otherwise need to undertake if purchasing the hydraulic power unit and electronic controls separately.
Each unit can be customized to meet various international standards as well as a customer’s specific application — whether mobile or industrial.

HYDAC Demonstrating Integrated Systems Approach
HYDAC will demonstrate its Integrated Systems Approach (ISA) at iVT Expo USA 2026 and how it can help improve machine designs by considering the interaction of multiple machine systems.
As the company explains in its pre-show press release, designing mobile off-highway equipment requires more than selecting the best components. It is now necessary to understand the interaction between hydraulic systems, electronic controls, sensors, filtration, cooling technologies, and intelligent software to achieve desired machine performance.
To do so, it is necessary to bring together engineering expertise from multiple disciplines which is what HYDAC aims to do with its Integrated Systems Approach.
ISA brings together three complementary engineering disciplines:
- Fluid Power Engineering focuses on hydraulic performance, filtration, thermal management, accumulators and energy efficiency to ensure reliable operation under demanding conditions.
- Controls & Electronics Engineering integrates sensors, controllers, software and machine intelligence to monitor, automate and optimize system performance while providing valuable operational data.
- Application & System Engineering combines these technologies into complete machine solutions, helping OEMs improve productivity, simplify integration, and accelerate innovation based on machine-specific applications.
Instead of treating technology independently, this design approach evaluates how systems interact to help OEMs improve the performance of their machines and meet the requirements of automation, predictive maintenance and other driving off-highway machinery development.
