    The latest data published by the National Fluid Power Association shows industry shipments of fluid power products for April 2013 decreased 1.3% compared to April 2012, and increased 1.6% compared to last month. Mobile hydraulic & industrial hydraulic shipments decreased and pneumatic shipments increased in April 2013 when compared to April 2012.

    The latest data published by the National Fluid Power Association shows industry shipments of fluid power products for April 2013 decreased 1.3% compared to April 2012, and increased 1.6% compared to last month. Mobile hydraulic & industrial hydraulic shipments decreased and pneumatic shipments increased in April 2013 when compared to April 2012.All three market segments increased when compared to last month. The chart and table are drawn from data collected from more than 80 manufacturers of fluid power products by NFPA’s Confidential Shipment Statistics (CSS) program. Much more information is available to NFPA members, which allows them to better understand trends and anticipate change in their market and the customer markets they serve.

For example, the March pneumatic shipments figure of 5.4 means that for the calendar year through March 2013, pneumatic shipments were down 5.4% compared to the same time period in 2012.
