Concentric AB has appointed Paul Shepherd to head its new Advanced Research and Development Unit. Shepherd, based at Concentric’s plant in Birmingham, U.K., will recruit a new team globally from within Concentric and externally. The unit will focus on innovation and emerging technologies in the engine pump and hydraulic sectors. Ultimately, it will look at trends and technologies in the automotive sector and work to develop new products best fitting the needs of customers across the spectrum of medium and heavy diesel engines, trucks, buses, and industrial plant and off-road vehicles, in terms of hydraulics and engine pumps.
