NFPA Hosting Fluid Power Technology Conference at Automate 2026

Automated Bottling Production Line in Pharmaceutical Industry — Hydraulics and pneumatics are used in a wide range of automated systems, including bottling production lines in the pharmaceutical industry.

Hydraulics and pneumatics remain important actuation technologies within a wide range of industrial automation systems, including robots of various types. Many of today’s systems incorporate a hybrid of fluid power and electric technologies to meet the precision, speed and other performance requirements of industrial automation applications.

To help highlight the continued importance of fluid power in automation applications, the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) is hosting three fluid power technology presentations during Automate 2026, a large robotics and automation event taking place June 22-25 in Chicago, IL.

The NFPA sessions will be part of Automate’s educational track. Sessions will help demonstrate how fluid power is evolving to meet the performance requirments of various industrial automation applications. Three presentations from fluid power companies will offer insight into new developments as well as tips on deploying hydraulic and pneumatic solutions in automation systems.

All three sessions will take place the afternoon of June 24 at Automate 2026. The confirmed presentations and speakers are:

Smart and Sustainable Monitoring Solutions for Pneumatically Driven Machines by Jon Jensen, Industry Projects Manager – Energy, SMC Corporation of America (3:30-4:15 p.m.)
