Calculations are central to precise lubrication practices, and to that end, Advanced Machine Reliability Resources Inc., Franklin, Tenn., has developed LubeCoach, an intuitive and low-cost device that can help assign the correct lubrication volume and frequency for grease-lubricated element bearings. LubeCoach can be used by the lubrication engineer, planner, or reliability leader to improve bearing, lubricant, and labor performance. The device, a circulator calculator, incorporates the calculations into a small but representative collection of the most common bearing operating conditions.

In addition to the manual circular calculator (shown here) and the electronic Excel version, LubeCoach is also available as an iPhone app.
