Work Truck Week is considered the largest event for the work truck industry and encompasses The Work Truck Show as well as the Green Truck Summit  a day of presentations focused on alternative energy solutions  and vehicle ride and drive opportunities.

Following are highlights of technologies, including hydraulic and electronic components, set to be on display at the 2023 event.

Bucher Hydraulics Exhibiting New Valves and PowerPacks

During Work Truck Week, Bucher Hydraulics plans to show several products including:

  • Single Acting Global PowerPack
  • Double Acting Global PowerPack.

The company's power packs are an integrated, modular system comprising hydraulic valves, a gear pump, motor and more to provide various functions in work truck vehicles. Bucher Hydraulics also plans to show these powerpacks, along with a range of other new products, during the International Fluid Power Exposition (IFPE) taking place the week after Work Truck Week.

Details on these products are currently limited, but will be shared as they become available.

APSCO Showcasing Valves and Hydraulic Coolers

APSCO — a developer of pneumatic and hydraulic valves and controls, cylinders, and consoles — will exhibit its APV20 hydraulic directional control valves and Thermaflow hydraulic coolers.

The APV directional control valves are designed for use in parallel/open center circuit applications and allow for manual or pneumatic actuation. They feature a nominal capacity of 25 gpm and maximum operating pressure of 3,500 psi.

APSCO's Thermaflow line consists of hydraulic reservoir, filter and cooling systems designed specifically for mobile equipment and transport vehicles.

Webasto Highlighting Battery Technology

Although Webasto has been better known for its heating and cooling technologies, like many companies it has entered the electrification field in recent years. At Work Truck Show 2023, the company will show its CV Standard Battery System which can be configured for use in a variety of vehicle and heavy equipment applications.

At bauma 2022, Webasto and Danfoss announced they would partner on the electrification of heavy equipment such as construction machinery, pairing the Webasto battery with Danfoss' electric drivetrain technologies.

Webasto also plans to show its 900 EX Battery Testing System which enables testing and emulation of energy storage and drivetrain components. It works with a range of applications and is designed to aid with providing faster, more efficient testing to help design teams save development time and costs.

Engineering Services to be Highlighted by GS Engineering

GS Engineering provides a range of engineering services, with its central focus being on the design of vehicles and components in markets including commercial trucks, off-highway and special applications. The company provides prototype development, testing & validation, and more, all of which will be showcased during Work Truck Week.

Prototyping services include the handling of prototype fabrication and assembly. In addition, various modeling scenarios can be run to help determine the best possible design.

The company also provides instrumented testing as well as physical testing to aid with all phases of the overall design process.

Padoan Exhibiting Range of Hydraulic Reservoirs

Padoan, a specialist in the development of hydraulic reservoirs, will highlight various models in its product line as well as accessories for its hydraulic tanks and reservoirs.

Among its products on display will be the 64/50 hydraulic tank/reservoir which is available in aluminum and painted steel. It features a capacity of 75-100 gal. and comes equipped with a sight temperature gauge.

Additional tanks/reservoirs on display include those with capacities of 8-13, 18, and 28-40 gal. Aluminum and painted steel as well as stainless steel options will also be displayed.

Accessories Padoan will exhibit for its tanks/reservoirs include filters which can be fully- or semi-immersed and its Easy Filter offering 360 degrees of rotation to ease installation. Fittings, ball valves and other accessories will also be showcased.

Air Compressors and More on Display from VMAC

VMAC plans to display several of its mobile air compressors and multi-power systems. Among these will be its UNDERHOOD air compressors which help to reduce space and weight on trucks.
