    Registration is now open for the NFPA’s Industry and Economic Outlook Conference (IEOC), to be held August 15-17, at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Conference Center, Schaumburg, Ill.

    This event offers hard data and expert analysis on tomorrow’s economic environment. The IEOC will offer critical insight into economics, market forecasts, workforce development, and also offers networking opportunities. Read a recap of the 2009 event here.

    Conference highlights include three keynote presentations:
    Global Economics     — An American Perspective, Alan Beaulieu, Institute for Trend Research (ITR),
    Global Economics     — A European Perspective, John Walker, Oxford Economics, and
    Macro-Economic Speakers Forum     — Alan Beaulieu, Institute for Trend Research (ITR), Jim Meil, Eaton Corp., and John Walker, Oxford Economics.

    In addition, market forecasts will be given for construction and agriculture machinery; heavy truck; industrial (material handling and metalworking machinery); and oil and gas machinery. Overall forecasts will be offered and a student poster session will be new this year.
