Parker Acquires Rotary Actuator Manufacturer, Helac

The partnership will increase Parker's commitment to the construction market as a provider of Helac's robust and high-performance rotary actuators.

Parker Hannifin Corporation announced the acquisition of Helac Corporation. A company specializing in the design and manufacture of helical rotary actuators, Helac’s products are built to provide high torque output, exceptional load bearing capability, and reliable performance.

“Helac is a pioneer in the development of helical rotary actuators and represents a strategic addition to our world-leading hydraulics product portfolio offering customers solutions in a wide variety of markets,” says Andy Weeks, President of the Parker Hydraulics Group. “We are excited about the opportunities to strengthen Parker’s position in key growth markets and expand the reach of Helac products through Parker’s global sales channels.”  

Helac will integrate with Parker’s Cylinder Division within the Hydraulics Group. Sales will be reported in Parker's Diversified Industrial segment.

Through the acquisition, Parker will also gain access to Helac’s line of attachments used in for material-handling and construction equipment. Helac’s attachments include those in the Power Tilt and Power Grip series.
