Air/hydraulic actuators

Aug. 10, 2010
Air/hydraulic actuators combine a fluid actuator and an air chamber to provide speed of air operation with control and high force of hydraulics. Air chamber converts low air pressure to high hydraulic pressure.

Air/hydraulic actuators combine a fluid actuator and an air chamber to provide speed of air operation with control and high force of hydraulics. Air chamber converts low air pressure to high hydraulic pressure. Three types are available: master cylinder, stem seal master cylinder with integral reservoir and straight bore actuator for use with a remote reservoir. Air chamber sizes are available from 12 to 36 in.2 and hydraulic displacement from 1.0 to 5.9 in.3 They convert 100 psi air pressure to hydraulic pressure rated up to 2045 psi.
