Versa C5 NAMUR Lockout Valves Provide Secure Pneumatic Actuator Isolation

The C5 NAMUR Lockout Valves utilize a NAMUR interface to enable direct mounting to pneumatic actuators, easing installation as well as a safe and secure connection.

Versa Products Company, Inc. has introduced the C5 NAMUR Lockout Valve, a compact, direct-mounted valve which provides positive actuator isolation during maintenance and shutdown procedures.

The lockout valve is designed to be directly mounted to pneumatic actuators and can be mechanically locked in either the energized or de-energized position. Its direct NAMUR mounting design helps to reduce installation time stated Rob Lindquist, Director of Global Sales at Versa, in the company’s press release announcing the launch of the C5 lockout valve.

A NAMUR interface on the valve eases installation by utilizing standard holes and interfaces to attach the valve to an actuator without the need for extra componentry such as tubing, brackets or fittings.

In addition, the valve features Versa’s bubble-tight sealing technology for leak-free operation which is critical due to the high pressures commonly used with pneumatic systems. The company notes in its press release that while the C5 provides mechanical actuator lockout, it is not an OSHA-approved block and bleed lockout valve which should be taken into consideration when performing maintenance and shutdown procedures.
