Solenoid Proportional Valves Operate at Higher Pressures

April 5, 2022
ATAM's family of solenoid products can operate with 450 bar pressure.

A family of solenoids have been developed for use with proportional valves for several applications dedicated to earthmoving. These solenoid products can operate with 450 bar pressure as opposed to classic hydraulics reaches of 250 bar. The solenoid for proportional valves consists of an integrated coil and linear actuator and can be used in applications such as agricultural machinery, earth-moving machinery, compactors and machines for urban cleaning, forklifts and concrete mixers.

It facilitates, for example, the movement of the arm on a bulldozer or the rotation of a concrete mixer, by regulating the flow of oil and directing it where and when it is necessary, precisely maintaining the required pressure and flow rate. The coil can reach an IP69K degree of protection, features market-level electrical connections and is contained in various resins to ensure the most suitable insulation class.
