NFPA Seeks Proposals for Hydraulics Technology Conference at iVT Expo 2026
The National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) is once again hosting a Hydraulics Technology Conference at iVT Expo USA 2026 and is currently accepting presentation proposals for the 2-day conference.
iVT Off-Highway Vehicle Technology Expo USA (iVT Expo) is an annual tradeshow and conference geared towards those developing mining, construction, forestry and other off-highway vehicles. It offers opportunities to learn about the trends shaping machine design as well as see the latest hydraulics, sensor, materials and other technologies for use in off-highway machinery.
The 2026 event will take place August 19 and 20 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.
NFPA’s conference aims to highlight advancements in hydraulic technologies for off-highway vehicle applications such as construction equipment, forklifts, agricultural machinery and more.
Hydraulics remain critical to the operation of these machines due to the power density they provide. By hosting its conference in conjunction with iVT Expo, NFPA is helping the fluid power industry showcase the many technological developments it is undertaking to meet the ever evolving performance requirements of the mobile equipment industry.
The association is encouraging members to submit proposals for the conference; NFPA will consider various topics but will give special consideration to those addressing the following topics:
- advanced electrohydraulic systems and controls
- hydraulic efficiency and energy management
- hydraulics for automated and/or AI-driven machines
- integration of hydraulics with electrified powertrains
- digital hydraulics and smart fluid power systems
- new architectures for high-performance mobile machinery.
These topics help demonstrate key design priority areas for machine OEMs and their technology suppliers. Efficiency, for instance, has become a top priority to help reduce fuel consumption as well as aid implementation of electrification where feasible.
Read the below content to learn more about what manufacturers in the agricultural and construction equipment industries are looking for in hydraulics technologies.
NFPA said it will prioritize submissions demonstrating the following qualities:
- OEM participation or collaboration with an OEM, ideally featuring real-world deployments, case studies or operational learnings.
- Industry-focused insights, addressing broader technology challenges rather than promoting specific products or services.
- Original and forward-looking content that has not been presented previously at other conferences.
- Engaging presentation formats, such as interviews, fireside chats, panel discussions or case-study driven sessions.
Proposals can be submitted via the iVT Expo 2026 website, and are due by April 10, 2026.
