Mobile Hydraulics Maintain Growth Trend in November 2022

Jan. 31, 2023
NFPA reports total fluid power shipments declined from the previous month in November but mobile hydraulic shipments continued to see positive activity.

The National Fluid Power Association's (NFPA) latest industry data shows the year-to-date percent change for total fluid power shipments was 16.9% in November 2022. This was a slight decline from the 17.6% change reported in October.

Raw index data for pneumatic, mobile and industrial hydraulic shipments were also down from October.

Despite this, the NFPA's 12-month moving average of shipments for pneumatics, hydraulics and total fluid power continued its growth pattern the association reports.

Mobile hydraulics maintained positive momentum in November as orders received from December 2021 to November 2022 were 104.2% of those received during the prior period (December 2020 to November 2021). This was only a slight decline from what was reported by the NFPA in October, and demonstrates the continued strength of the mobile market for the fluid power industry.
