Two Eaton Corp. employees are now members of the International Fluid Power Society, marking the hydraulic component manufacturer's first dual board representation.

Eaton Corp., Eden Prairie, Minn., has announced that Tom Blansett, manager of Eaton's Hydraulics Training Services, has been elected first vice president on the 2013 Board of Directors for the International Fluid Power Society (IFPS). Blansett joins Eaton’s Ken Dulinski, Eaton's senior training instructor, who is a director-at-large on the IFPS board, marking Eaton’s first dual board representation.
Blansett previously served on the IFPS board as vice president of finance, treasurer and board member. He is actively involved in numerous IFPS committees, including his current role as chair for the Strategic Planning Committee.
“Tom has been an outstanding leader on the IFPS Board of Directors since 2008,” said Donna Pollander, IFPS executive director, “and Ken brings exceptional skills and technical expertise to our organization. We are very excited to have these two very talented professionals on our board.”

Eaton’s active IFPS involvement reinforces Eaton’s reputation as the educational standard in the fluid power industry and its commitment to hydraulics education, which includes advancing fluid power certifications offered by IFPS. Eaton Hydraulics Training Services offers instruction classes for IFPS’ ten certifications, with a special focus on the popular Hydraulic Specialist, Connector & Conductor Specialist and Electronic Controls Specialist certifications.
Eaton also offers extensive technology and product training classes on the design, selection, application and assembly of hydraulic components. Tens of thousands of people have participated in Eaton training classes during the last 60 years.
Blansett holds four IFPS certifications and has held numerous training and sales management positions during his 24-year career at Eaton.
Dulinski has earned nine IFPS certifications and is highly regarded throughout the fluid power and motion control industry for his knowledge of electro-hydraulics. He joined Eaton in 2000 and is responsible for classroom instruction, course development and curriculum review.
