A hydromechanical torque control option has been added to 420 open-circuit piston pumps. They automatically sense heavy loads and adjust hydraulic flow accordingly. Redesigned pump housing decreases airborne noise to 76 dBA at 1800 rpm and 207 bar. Case-to-inlet check valve improves cold weather operation and provides added protection to seals and rotating group. Torque control works in parallel with standard compensator, using a special mechanism to replace the control piston.
