FluidSafe confirms a fluid injection injury by its bright fluorescent glow under blue light, minimizing surgical intervention.
Spectronics Corp. and Quaker Chemical Corp. have signed a strategic supply-and-market-development agreement for the global expansion of Quaker’s fire-resistant hydraulic fluids that incorporate FluidSafe, Spectronic’s unique fluorescent safety additive. Along with the new partnership, Spectronics is merging its Alerton subsidiary with the parent company and adopting FluidSafe under its Spectroline brand.
FluidSafe’s fluorescence is visible in several accidental situations, such as high-pressure injection into the skin, or leaks in degraded hoses, seals, and fittings. Quaker is incorporating FluidSafe into its Quintolubric product line fluids.
