According to recent studies done by freight market forecasters FTR Associates, a favorable climate has been predicted for the freighting industry. In the March Trucking Conditions Index, FTR reported a positive environment for truckers, and as of now further improvements are seen.
In the coming months carrier profitability will improve, but with the introduction of the Hours of Service regulations, productivity will reportedly reduce by about 3%, most likely resulting in an upward spike in start rates.
