Electrification Offers Different Values for Off-Highway

According to Terzo Power Systems' Mike Terzo, the off-highway and passenger markets have differing value drivers.

Mike Terzo, founder and CEO of Terzo Power Systems, said the off-highway market has a different value proposition from electrification than the passenger market. “We separate out electrification from what's going on in the light duty passenger market to what's going on in our sectors—heavy-duty, off highway construction, agriculture,” Terzo told Power & Motion. “There is electrification based on productivity, TCO (total cost of ownership), performance, maintenance. Those are the drivers on connectivity that are bringing actual value to different stakeholders. So, it's a different set of value drivers than we see in the light duty.”
