Each year, The Battery Show and co-located Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo (EV Tech Expo) offer an opportunity to see the latest technological developments for batteries as well as other electric vehicle components such as electric motors and inverters.

The show also spotlights a range of other technologies and services related to the battery and electric vehicle supply chain such as materials, testing equipment, design software, production technology and more. And the 2025 edition was no exception as a number of companies working in the electrification space, including many from the fluid power sector, showcased their latest developments at the event.

New technologies on display for on-vehicle applications included on-board chargers and safety systems designed to work with the higher voltage systems coming into the market as well as batteries capable of meeting the needs for longer run times and faster charging.

On the production side, several automation systems were on display – including robots equipped with pneumatic components. Automating the production process helps to make it more productive by enabling manufacturers to increase their throughput which leads to lower prices.

In a discussion with Vanguard, the battery brand of Briggs & Stratton, the company noted it has been investing internally to improve its operations which included the creation of a fully automated plant in Georgia. Doing so will help the company meet the continued demand it sees from customers for its battery and other electrification technologies.
