Emerson Valve System Meets High Airflow Requirements in Industrial Applications
The AVENTICS XV05 High Flow Valve System from Emerson provides higher airflow without the need to use a larger valve system.
As Emerson explained in its press release announcing the global availability of the XV05 valve, industrial applications such as packaging and automotive manufacturing are increasingly demanding higher airflows while machine designs get more compact in size.
Although a larger pneumatic valve system can be used to meet increased airflow requirements, it also requires more installation space. In addition, use of a larger valve system can present other design complexities such as different interfaces and configurations, as well as a disruption to established machine architectures.
Emerson developed the XV05 High Flow Valve System specifically to overcome these challenges. By including larger ports and dedicated high-flow fittings on the valve system, it can provide flow capacity up to 1,200 L/min to meet higher airflow requirements without increasing the size of the system.
The XV05 also features the same architecture, electrical connection options, communication protocols, and modularity as other AVENTICS XV products, easing installation for customers. Front-, top- and bottom-ported configurations are available to provide more flexibility for integration into both new and existing machine designs without the need to redesign the broader pneumatic architecture noted Emerson.
The AVENTICS XV05 is suited for use in various applications such as:
- pilot valve systems for process valves in water treatment,
- package molding equipment,
- slicing and cutting units requiring high actuator force,
- cleaning systems,
- pneumatically driven winches in oil and gas operations, and
- automotive manufacturing equipment.
