Bailey International LLC , Knoxville, Tenn., a manufacturer and supplier of cylinders and other components for mobile hydraulic systems, recently opened a location in Reno, Nev., to serve OEMs, distributors, and repair shops in the western U. S. Bailey CFO Steve Boyack explained that using a third-party logistics (3PL) provider at the new location will reduce shipping time and costs for the company’s customers in the west. “As a business, you are always looking for ways to grow organically and through acquisition. Using a 3PL is a hybrid of both.”

Kevin Bailey, CEO, added, “If a customer places an order as late as 3:00 p. m. Pacific time, we can ship that order the same day. With our close proximity to the west coast, most customers should receive that order in one or two business days — a phenomenal improvement over shipping from Knoxville.” Bailey said customers in 11 states can also reduce freight costs as much as 50% by having orders shipped from Reno instead of Knoxville.

Mobile website — Bailey also announced the launch of a new mobile ecommerce Web site. Bailey revealed, “Mobile users now exceed 14% of our monthly Web traffic, many of whom are new visitors. This trend is expected to continue, and we are committed to supporting this important part of our customers’ ecommerce experience.”

Daniel Stoltz, Bailey’s Web Media Manager, added that the mobile site will support all IOS and Android devices. The site features a dynamic product slider for quick scrolling through multiple products, a “click-to-call” button for technical support, a downloadable product catalog, and fully optimized mobile checkout.

Steve Warnock, Director of Sales at Bailey, added, “If hydraulic technicians need to repair or replace a cylinder on a front-end loader, they can now use the mobile Web site to purchase the parts needed and access technical support — while remaining in the field.”
