In this video, Jacob Paso, motion product development manager, Delta Computer Systems, highlights a few important trends in high-performance motion control and explains why hydraulic motion control remains critical to the industry.
The most impactful improvement is not linked to any single component or technology, he said. Rather, it is the knowledge that one is able to package into the algorithms and designed for a specific niche, such as high-performance motion control and hydraulics.
“One of the trends is the increase in use of position together with force control to provide greater quality in the product,” Paso said. “And of course, this comes because of greater algorithms and better sensors and actuators and so on that we can do that.”
Paso also answers questions on the greatest impact from digitalization, on optimizing machine performance and where growth opportunities will likely arise in the next few years.
