News Bites: Trelleborg Honored for Sustainability, New Acquisitions for Parker and Multi Parts Solutions

Bosch Rexroth Opens Expanded Industrial Hydraulics Warehouse
Bosch Rexroth recently celebrated the opening of its expanded Industrial Hydraulics warehouse. The facility helps consolidate the company’s operations into a single 50,000 sq. ft. campus for production and logistics in Bethlehem, PA.
The company said its goal in creating a unified campus for production and logistics is to better streamline operations which can help it better meet changing market conditions and improve lead times.
Aiding this is the use of the AutoStore system which uses automation to help with the storage and retrieval of parts. Bosch Rexroth states in its press release announcing the opening of the new facility that this system uses warehouse space more efficiently, while supporting improved operational efficiency and customer service by making it faster and easier to find and retrieve manufactured parts within the warehouse.
Trelleborg Receives Sustainability Award from Emerson
Trelleborg Sealing Solutions is one of eight supplier companies to receive a 2026 Emerson Sustainability Award.
Trelleborg supplies precision components used in Emerson's solenoid valve and flow-control automation systems, including complex valve body components.
Emerson created its Sustainability Award in 2024 as a way to recognize suppliers and partners who “integrate environmental responsibility into their strategic business practices, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and promote transparency and collaboration with customers and stakeholders.”
This award demonstrates the importance companies like Trelleborg and Emerson place on reducing their impact on the environment. Doing so can be achieved in many ways. Earlier this year, Trelleborg announced the development of a sealing materials made from renewable sources such as cooking oil and straw to help meet some of its sustainability targets.
And Trelleborg is one of many companies working to reduce or completely eliminate the use of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), known as forever chemicals, from its products.

Multi Parts Solutions Acquires HKX Inc.
Multi Parts Solutions (MPS), which builds and supplies engineered products for demanding vehicle and equipment markets, has acquired HKX, Inc., a manufacturer of auxiliary hydraulic kits and control-system solutions for excavators and other heavy equipment.
HKX (which stands for Hydraulic Kits for Excavators) will become Multi Parts’ third operating division and help establish it in the construction equipment market.
HKX develops ready-to-install kits for new and existing equipment that enable machines to use attachments, such as breakers, thumbs, shears and rotating tools. It also has strong controls expertise which is becoming increasingly critical as construction and other mobile equipment transition further away from mechanical pilot controls to electro-hydraulic and CAN-based systems.
By joining Multi Parts, HKX and its customers will gain access to more engineering resources and product development capabilities.
Parker Hannifin Completes Acquisition of Filtration Group Corp.
Parker Hannifin has completed its acquisition of Filtration Group Corporation, a developer of filtration technologies for a wide range of industries.
The company first announced its plan to acquire Filtration Group in November 2025, stating that doing so would add complementary filtration technologies to its portfolio and help serve key growth markets such as life sciences, HVAC/R and in-plant and industrial.
Filtration Group’s use of proprietary media, application and technical expertise as well as its strong presence in the aftermarket were all noted as beneficial aspects the group will bring to Parker Hannifin.
Acquisitions like this demonstrate how companies within the fluid power industry are working to enhance their product offerings as well as the consolidation that continues to reshape the market.

National Fluid Power Association Awards Fluid Power Scholarships
The National Fluid Power Association’s (NFPA) Education and Technology Foundation has awarded 20 scholarships for students studying fluid power related fields.
These scholarships are one of the many initiatives the association undertakes to help support and encourage the next generation of hydraulics and pneumatics engineers. Like many sectors, the fluid power industry is facing a shortage of engineers — and this industry is not always one that comes to mind for those looking to enter the engineering field — so scholarship funds like NFPA’s and other initiatives are a helpful way to potentially attract more people to the industry.
Students eligible to receive the scholarship are graduating high school students as well as those enrolled in community colleges, technical schools and universities pursuing fluid power related studies.
The following students received a $2,500 Fluid Power Scholarship:

- Maxwell Mamishev, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
- Sarah Campbell, Maine Maritime Academy

- Zachary Been, California State University, Fresno (Robert Mackey Memorial Award)
An additional three scholarships were awarded through the Tom Wanke Legacy Fund, set up to honor long-time fluid power industry figure Thomas Wanke who was a strong supporter of the industry and students looking to enter it.
The following students were each awarded a $2,500 scholarship through the fund:
