NFPA Seeking Proposals for Hydraulics Conference at CONEXPO 2026
The National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) is now accepting proposals for sessions to be held during its advanced hydraulics conference held in conjunction with CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026. CONEXPO is one of the largest industry events for the construction equipment industry, a key customer market for the fluid power sector.
In early 2025, NFPA announced it would hold its 2-day hydraulics conference in parallel with CONEXPO 2026 to help enhance fluid power education at the event. The association is encouraging members who will be exhibiting at the show to submit session proposals.
While in years past the NFPA has co-located its International Fluid Power Exhibition (IFPE) with CONEXPO, that will not be the case for the 2026 edition. Instead, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) which owns CONEXPO will have a components section to highlight fluid power, engines and other componentry used in construction equipment and is working with NFPA to ensure members can still book exhibition space in this portion of the show.
The advanced hydraulics conference is another way NFPA is working with show organizers to ensure the hydraulics which are vital to the operation of so many machines are still spotlighted during the event. It is also part of the association's efforts to expand its educational opportunities for industry members at various events for both the mobile and industrial sectors.

NFPA plans for the sessions at the advanced hydraulics conference to be 30 minutes in length. Special consideration will be given to those addressing the following topics which highlight some of the key technological trends within the fluid power industry and its customer markets:
- Hydraulic system designs, architectures, and products optimized for performance on off-highway vehicles.
 - Thermal management strategies for hydraulically-actuated off-highway vehicles.
 - Improvements in hydraulic system efficiency, especially those that help to increase battery life on electrified off-highway vehicles.
 - Strategies for reducing the volume and harshness of hydraulic noise on off-highway vehicles.
 - Hydraulic data collection and utilization strategies that provide system or machine-level performance improvements.
 - Hydraulic systems that operate in partial or fully autonomous modes.
 - Cutting-edge research innovations that may change the use or application of fluid power technologies.

Other topics will be considered as well. Session proposals can be sent to Denise Husenica at [email protected] by June 30, 2025. Proposals should include a title, presenter name with a 100-word bio and 100-word presentation abstract.
