Power & Motion is once again collecting data for our annual Salary & Career Survey. Each year we ask you, our audience, to provide your insight (anonymously) into the current state of engineering careers in the fluid power and broader motion control sector.

Questions in this year’s survey include those about how work environments have evolved and the status of hiring. We also ask about the technologies you are using as well as those influencing system designs.

You can take the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PMT_SS25. Those who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing for an Amazon gift card.

We conduct this survey each year in conjunction with other publications covering design, engineering and automation related industries at EndeavorB2BAutomation WorldControlControl DesignElectronic Design, Machine DesignMicrowaves & RF, Military & Aerospace Electronics, and Vision Systems Design. This enables us to see not only how careers in the hydraulics and pneumatics space are faring but also the design and engineering field as a whole.

We’ll share results from the survey later this year and input it into our Salary Comparison Tool for Engineers which allows users to see how their salary compares with other engineers in the U.S. The tool allows users to filter by title, location, length of time in the industry and more to help provide a proper comparison.

Want to share your thoughts on the state of engineering careers? You can take our survey or reach out to me directly at [email protected] to provide your insights.
