As I've said already, IFPE was an opportunity to gather a lot of new articles and case histories we hadn't heard about before, because most fluid power companies like to make a big splash with their PR during the event. So I was excited to finally learn from Bosch Rexroth Corp. about its involvement in the Chilean mine rescue last year. Anyone involved in fluid power knew hydraulics were used extensively in the rescue — Bosch Rexroth's part was as the power-driving force behind the drill that was used in the rescue.
