IFPE and ConExpo are now less than three months away. They only come around every three years and consistently draw the largest group of fluid power in North America—by far. No other event in North America brings as many sectors of the fluid power, power transmission, and motion control industries together in one place.
Visitors should have no trouble feeding their curiosity and come away with smart new solutions to solve your most pressing technical and professional challenges. And no wonder: ConExpo brings together nearly 3,000 exhibitors encompassing about 2½ million ft2 of space. Of course, you’ll be able to meet one-on-one with industry experts who can help you learn about the latest products and how they can be implemented into systems for more efficient and reliable operation.
This is where attendees and exhibitors alike can:
- Have in-depth technical conversations with other engineers and executives to spark new ideas.
- Talk with suppliers about your specific challenges and the solutions they offer.
- Find new suppliers and new ways of doing things.
- Attend innovative education classes and sessions covering the latest topics and industry trends.
IFPE, the International Fluid Power Exhibition, has been part of ConExpo/ConAgg since 2002. And once again, IFPE will be held the second level of the Las Vegas Convention Center’s South Hall. Bring your walking shoes because IFPE alone will house more than 400 exhibitors showcasing their products and services. Exhibitor product categories include:
- mobile hydraulics,
- industrial hydraulics,
- controls and sensors,
- pneumatics,
- water hydraulics, and
- electrical and mechanical power transmission.
Free reception—Participants are also encouraged to attend IFPE’s Fluid Power Hour Reception, which will be held Wed., March 11, from 4 to 6 p.m. on the IFPE show floor. ConExp-ConAgg closes at 5 p.m. on that day, so the Fluid Power Hour gives visitors an additional hour to stroll the IFPE show floor for networking and to partake of free food, free drinks, and free entertainment. This is Las Vegas, by the way.
Education Abounds

Lunch & Learn at Research Symposium
When mapping out your IFPE schedule be sure to keep the lunch hours on March 11, 12, and 13 open for the IFPE Research Symposium, hosted by the National Fluid Power Assn. Over these three days, NFPA will be presenting a program that showcases the latest fluid power research being performed at U.S. universities with funding provided by a new program within the U.S. Department of Energy to improve the energy efficiency of hydraulic systems on off-road vehicles.
Wednesday, March 11; 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Individual Electro-Hydraulic Actuators for Off Road Machines
Presented by Andrea Vacca, Purdue University
Thursday, March 12; 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
