Large hydraulic caliper brakes for offhighway service braking feature fixedmount, dual-opposition pistons and operate on 18-in. rotors at pressures to 2200 psi. Smaller brake is rated to 175,000 lb-in. torque; larger brake is rated to 258,000 lb-in. torque. Self-retracting seals offer positive piston retraction; piston seals available for brake fluid and petroleum-based oils.
