Inductive linear-displacement sensors

Aug. 12, 2014
Linear-displacement sensors use inductive technology.
ME Series inductive sensors are designed as drop-in replacements for embedded magnetostrictive position sensors and potentiometers in hydraulic cylinders. Based on a contactless inductive sensing technology that uses solid probe construction, the sensors require only a simple conductive tubular target or a small-diameter deep-hole gun drilled in the piston rod for operation rather than needing a permanent magnet ring, counterbored hole, or any other type of special target.

Features include 4 to 36-in. measurement range, pressure rating, dc or current analog output, and field-adjustable scaling.
