The 4th FPNI - Ph. D. Symposium was held June 13-17 in Sarasota, Fla., and was a rousing success. Fluid Power Net International (FPNI) is a world wide community for networking in the area of fluid power and fluid techniques.
Nearly 50 papers were presented on energy efficient hydraulic systems, fluids, simulation and control, mobile applications, valves, pumps, and pneumatics. More than 130 participants from industry, academia, and fluid power manufacturers attended the conference. The next FPNI - PhD conference is set for Cracow, Poland, in July 2008.
History of FPNI
Fluid Power Net International was formed in 1998 with the objective of providing the infrastructure to build an international network of researchers and facilities to carry out major projects, and to:

Provide information about worldwide research and industrial activities in the field of fluid power technology and related areas,
