Organizers of the International Fluid Power Exposition (IFPE) 2023 have released a new white paper overviewing key trends and technologies expected to impact the fluid power industry in the coming years. Power transmission and motion control technology advancements and trends are also covered in the white paper.

"Tech Advancements Driving the Fluid Power Market Forward" by Adam Kimmel looks at how mobile fluid power technology is currently being utilized within heavy-duty off-highway equipment such as construction, mining and agriculture. This segment is a key user of hydraulic components and systems, as well as power transmission and motion control technologies. And as heavy equipment designs advance, so too will the components and systems which enable them to do their work.

The white paper focuses on six key subjects:

  • Megatrends Shaping the Market
  • Industry Trends
  • Industry Opportunities
  • Power Transmission Advancements
  • Motion Control Advancements
  • Challenges & Barriers to Adoption

The full white paper can be downloaded for free from the IFPE website

IFPE is a triennial event which brings together members of the fluid power, power transmission and motion control industries. It is co-located with CONEXPO-CON/AGG, one of the world's largest trade shows dedicated to the construction industry.

IFPE is co-owned by the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and is scheduled to take place March 14-18, 2023 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
