Live equipment demonstrations will be the main attraction at the International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE), also known as the Demo Expo. From September 29 through October 1, more than 850 exhibitors will operate machinery in job-like conditions for thousands of attendees. Participants can also test drive on-road equipment over a two-mile outdoor Ride-&-Drive Test Track.
As always, dozens of fluid power component and service providers will also be on had to show off their products and capabilities. The sidebar shows a list of these exhibitors, with advertisers in this issue highlighted in bold text.
ICUEE takes place at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, and covers more than 25 acres of outdoor and indoor exhibits, including demonstration grounds. By taking advantage of new intra-show shuttles, golf-cart taxis, and the new DEMO express, attendees are able to cover more ground than ever before to catch all events of interest.
Using the online scheduling tool, attendees can choose from a wide range of educational seminars and demonstrations to plan out a convenient itinerary in advance. The show features a structured education and demonstration program, with show locations and times specified on the ICUEE’s website. At the new DEMO stage, fleet managers, engineers, field operators, executives, and other professionals discuss the latest safety and regulatory procedures, operations, technologies, trends, and innovations in the utility and construction industry. Each presentation will follow with a Q&A session.
Four specialized pavilions populate the indoor exhibit. The pavilions are AGC Technology & Business Solutions, Fleet Management, Green Utility, and iP Safety. Main topics at ICUEE include electric, telecommunications/cable, natural gas, water, and wastewater services. The show targets contractors who provide utilities with infrastructure engineering and construction services, as well as manufacturers.
Last-day events include a free bourbon tasting and an auction to benefit veterans. A day pass is also available that offers 50% off the registration fee. At the auction, participants can win premium vacation packages, equipment, tools, and other prizes. All proceeds go to the Call of Duty Endowment to help military veterans find high-quality jobs.
