Automation and industrial applications are important topic areas for the fluid power and electromechanical sector

What are the Important Automation and Industrial Fluid Power Topics?

Feb. 5, 2025
Power & Motion is seeking input on the topics readers most want to learn about related to automation and industrial fluid power.

There are so many topics to cover related to fluid power and electromechanical motion control technologies that sometimes it can be difficult to keep track of them all.

But that doesn't mean we don't try, or see certain trends and topics being especially important to the industry which we aim to cover in a number of ways. One of those is our Topic Takeover weeks, a project we started in 2024 to highlight technologies, trends and applications influencing the design of hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical solutions.

Manufacturing, packaging and other industrial machinery remain important customer markets for fluid power, particularly pneumatics. Like the mobile equipment sector, there are a number of trends and customer requirements placing new performance demands on machines. To stay a relevant motion control technology for these applications it is important for hydraulics and pneumatics developers to understand evolving performance needs, and thus a reason we will be dedicating a week of new content to this application area.

Have suggestions for subjects we should cover during these Topic Takeover Weeks? Let me know! You can contact me directly at [email protected].

Or you can take the brief survey below to provide your input on the automation and industrial fluid power topics you'd like to see covered.
