Sept. 1, 2022
Winners of the annual Red Dot Product Design award demonstrate the high levels of engineering and design taking place in a variety of industries from robotics to heavy equipment to electronic components.

The Red Dot Design Award is an international awards program which aims to honor the latest innovations in a variety of industries. A jury of design experts select winners each year in the areas of product design, communication design and design concepts.

It was announced in March 2022 the international jury had selected winners of the 2022 Red Dot: Product Design award. According to the Red Dot organization, this particular award follows the motto "In search of good design and innovation."

Designers and manufacturers from around the world are eligible to enter their products. Those who receive an award have th distinction of being considered a top innovator and provider of quality designs. There are 51 categories in which designs can be entered covering a range of industries — everything from robots to consumer electronics to furniture to heavy-duty vehicles.

This year's winners once again highlight the range of engineering and design talent within various industries, including many of those covered by Power & Motion. In addition, winners provide a look at the trends which are shaping design in many industries such as electrification and automation.

"The quality of this year’s award-winning products is impressive. Innovative, high-quality and well-designed industrial design features in all of the competition categories. Once again, the Red Dot Jury used its extensive expert knowledge and nuanced understanding to take the right decisions and safeguard the quality of the Red Dot Label," said Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot, in the organization's press release announcing the selection of the 2022 award winners
