Ned R. Stull, former H&P editor, Remembered

A memorial service was held for Ned R. Stull on June 29 in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Ned had served as associate editor for Hydraulics & Pneumatics beginning December 7, 1970 and retired as executive editor in May 1993. He wrote or edited hundreds of articles for Hydraulics & Pneumatics and also edited Basic Electronics for Hydraulic Motion Control, by Jack L. Johnson, P.E.

Ned had served as associate editor for Hydraulics & Pneumatics beginning December 7, 1970 and retired as executive editor in May 1993. He wrote or edited hundreds of articles for Hydraulics & Pneumatics and also edited Basic Electronics for Hydraulic Motion Control, by Jack L. Johnson, P.E. 

Ned served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force until his retirement in July 1970 at the rank of lieutenant colonel. He served as a P-51 Mustang pilot in Korea and also flew C-141 Starlifters in Vietnam. Ned earned an engineering degree from Texas A&M University during his service with the Air Force. He had been a member of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers, Order of Daedalians (Fraternal Organization of Military Pilots), and Society of American Military Engineers.

Ned was 87 when he passed away June 8 and is survived by his daughter, Michal (Rick) Everist, sons, Tim (Kathie), and Mitch (Christy), seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
