Water-glycol hydraulic fluids in action

H&P Insights: Going Green, Saving Green; Three Benefits to the Product Blitz

May 3, 2021
A review of the day’s top trending stories from Hydraulics & Pneumatics editors.

Going Green, Saving Green

Water glycol hydraulic fluids, as noted in the latest Hydraulics & Pneumatics article, is more than just an environmentally friendly lubrication solution. As the article notes, “Many in the industry now recognize that selecting the proper hydraulic fluid can contribute to plant efficiency and ultimately help reduce costs. This insight has driven a great deal of innovation in the hydraulic fluid market. It has brought more choices to power transmission plants, steel and aluminum mills, and other facilities that rely on hydraulic fluids.”

In the continuing debate around creating a greener workplace, too often the discussion overlooks the idea that a strong environmental policy, properly conceived and managed, can not only make the planet greener but return plenty of green to the company coffers.

Three Benefits to the Product Blitz

Our weekly Product Blitz includes submissions from Clippard, EXAIR, Festo, AutomationDirect and Bosch Rexroth. The Product Blitz has two primary benefits—it allows key industry innovators to showcase the latest products designed to help you operate safer and more efficiently, and it provides readers with a one-stop shop for the best new ideas in the market.

And now there’s a third benefit: It offers a preview of the 2021 IDEA! Awards, where Hydraulics & Pneumatics readers will be able to vote on the best of the year’s product innovations. To review this year’s entry form, go to this link.
