NAHAD Ready for In-Person Show
As the industry takes small steps toward a return to live trade events this year, one association is making a giant leap.
The National Association for Hose and Accessories Distribution (NAHAD) recently announced it will be holding its 2021 annual convention in Scottsdale, Ariz. rather than San Diego. Originally scheduled for this month, the event will take place June 12-15.
The association postponed the convention so that attendees and exhibitors would be more comfortable visiting the show after more people get the COVID-19 vaccine. The show will be at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. Attendees and NAHAD staff are expected to follow Maricopa County COVID-19 policies and procedures in place when the convention is held.

Collaborate at IDEA! Conference
And speaking of in-person events, Hydraulics & Pneumatics’ Industrial Design, Engineering & Automation Show (IDEA!) will be Nov. 9-12 in Cleveland. Held in conjunction with IndustryWeek’s M&T Show, IDEA! will offer cutting-edge speakers focused on advanced manufacturing, IoT, motion control and power systems, and more. We’ll also present the first IDEA! Awards for product innovation and convene our Women In Science & Engineering luncheon panel to discuss opportunities and challenges for women in engineering fields.
Registration is now open, and exhibitors can reserve their floor space as well. Collaboration is returning, little by little, and we hope for a lot of collaboration at IDEA!.
