Data centers are popping up just about everywhere these days. While there are many concerns related to their energy and water use, and more, the massive buildup of them in various parts of the world — particularly the U.S. — is bringing new opportunities for many companies.
This includes several in the fluid power and motion control technology sector. As Daniel Winter, President of Danfoss Power Solutions, explains in my interview with him featured in today’s newsletter, data centers have been the largest growth driver for the company.
Not only is the build up of these facilities helping drive construction equipment demand, and thus the need for hydraulic components used in these machines, but also demand for hoses, fittings and other components used in data center cooling systems. Both aspects have contributed to the growth Danfoss Power Solutions has seen so far this year, and Winter expects data centers to be a long-term growth driver in the years ahead.
Is your company also working in the data center market? What potential opportunities do you see in this sector of the commercial construction market, if any? Send me an email at [email protected] to offer your thoughts on this or any other market opportunities you’re seeing.
