Each year Power & Motion, along with other brands part of our parent company’s Design, Engineering & Automation Group, honor the latest product innovations with our EDGE Awards program. Winners and honorees in 10 categories were chosen by readers who were able to vote for their favorite new developments in fluid power, electric motion control, electronic components, computing hardware and more.
This year’s list of winners and honorees within the Motion Control category included two technologies from the fluid power industry as well as a new electric actuation solution:
Winner:
IO-Link Compatible Air Management System: AMS-X2044/X2045 from SMC Corporation
Honorees:
SHA Integrated Actuator Series from Harmonic Drive LLC
Moog AXP from Moog GmbH
Congratulations to them, as well as all of this year’s winners and honorees — which you can read about in the lead story in today’s newsletter — for their work bringing new technologies to market aimed at helping improve the productivity and efficiency of both industrial and mobile machinery applications.
Like any new technology release, this year’s EDGE Awards winners help provide a sense of how different industry trends are shaping product development and where technology is at today, as well as where it may be headed in the future.
What have been some of the more interesting new product developments you’ve seen come into the market recently? What are some of the biggest trends or customer requirements shaping your development efforts? Feel free to email me at [email protected] to share your thoughts.
And if you have a technology you’d like to have considered for an EDGE Award, we’ll start accepting entries for the 2027 edition starting October 27, 2026.
