Hydraulic hoses are designed for a specific purpose — moving hydraulic fluid through a hydraulic system. Industrial hoses, on the other hand, cover a much broader range of applications and are used for material transfer and utility applications, explains author Joe Mueller, Director of Hose Products at Motion.
Although they may appear similar on the surface, as Mueller discusses in the article there are actually many differences between hydraulic and industrial hoses which are important to understand to ensure the right one is used for a given application.
