There are many events to attend throughout the year which offer a look at the technology developments and trends shaping fluid power designs. One that has become a must-attend for me in recent years is iVT Expo USA.
Geared specifically toward engineers designing off-highway machinery such as excavators and agricultural tractors, it has always offered a chance to see what is going on in the mobile equipment industry which is a key customer market for the fluid power industry.
And since the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) started partnering with the show, fluid power has become a larger part of it. A key part of this partnership is the Advanced Hydraulics Conference NFPA hosts during the show, offering an opportunity to learn about recent developments in hydraulic system designs for mobile applications.
This year’s sessions, highlighted in our top piece in today’s newsletter, are focused on technologies, strategies and real-world applications aimed at enabling the creation of next-generation machines. Methods for improving efficiency and machine intelligence will be among the themes covered during these presentations.
What trends or technological updates are you seeing for hydraulics and pneumatics used in mobile off-highway applications? Are you attending iVT Expo? If so, what themes do you expect to see at this year’s show? Email me at [email protected] to offer your thoughts.
