What do industrial automation, aerospace, data centers, and medical have in common? They are all markets currently demonstrating long-term growth potential according to Scott Curley – Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Regal Rexnord.
During my recent State of the Industry Interview with Curley, he noted that while market conditions have been dynamic in 2026, the long-term growth potential in these and many other customer markets have helped present opportunities as well.
He said continued investment in digital infrastructure and data centers remains an important growth driver. In addition, Regal Rexnord is seeing significant momentum in aerospace, robotics, and advanced automation as the rise of physical AI drives demand for increasingly intelligent and autonomous systems.
Each of these are expected to remain opportunity areas in 2027 and beyond. And it’s not just Curley who thinks so. Many of these markets, particularly data centers and automation, were noted as continued opportunity areas by most of the fluid power and motion control industry representatives I spoke to for our annual State of the Industry coverage, including Ken Baker, CEO, Bailey International, and Daniel Winter, President of Danfoss Power Solutions, whose interviews are also included in today’s newsletter.
What do you think? Do you see these markets as future opportunity areas? Or are there other markets in which you are seeing opportunities? What are your expectations for 2027? Offer your thoughts by taking our quick poll here or you can reach out to me directly at [email protected].
