CONEXPO kicks off tomorrow which means there will be an array of new fluid power and other technologies for construction equipment applications to see.
To help provide you insight into some of the tech to see at this year’s show, our lead story offers a look at just a handful of the many hydraulic and pneumatic products that will be displayed. Many demonstrate the efforts being made by the fluid power industry to meet OEM requirements for improved efficiency, productivity and reliability.
Several of these technologies also showcase the push toward offering full system solutions, something for which OEMs are increasingly looking. Both Ajay Gandhe and Garrett McClain of Danfoss Power Solutions noted this as a key theme they expect to see at this year’s show in my discussion with them included in today’s newsletter.
Gandhe said having the ability to offer a complete system helps OEM customers speed up time to market as well as manage costs and risks to help them better navigate various market dynamics.
Turntide Technologies’ new Axial Flux Electric Drive Unit debuting at CONEXPO and featured in today’s newsletter exemplifies this need for full-system solutions as well. It brings the company’s axial flux motor technology together with other necessary components all of which are fully integrated and validated to reduce development time for customers.
