Hydraulics and pneumatics remain important to the operation of many industrial automation systems, often working in tandem with electronic technologies to provide the speed and accuracy desired. To help those developing automated systems for industrial applications understand how fluid power is used in these systems, the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) is hosting three educational sessions at Automate 2026 — a large show dedicated to the robotics and automation sector.
Representatives from Festo, Bosch Rexroth and SMC Corp. will give presentations offering insight into new technological developments and tips on deploying hydraulic and pneumatic solutions in automation systems. Through educational sessions like these, members of the fluid power industry are helping demonstrate the many use cases for hydraulics and pneumatics while also providing advice on how best to employ these technologies.
Will you be attending Automate this year? If so, what technologies are you looking forward to seeing at the show? Reach out to me at [email protected] to let me know. I’ll be attending again this year, so if you want to meet, let me know that as well!
And I’m still collecting information on the technologies and trends currently influencing fluid power designs for use in mobile applications. You can take the survey linked here to let me know what percentage of your fluid power designs now include sensors, the importance of improving efficiency and more.
