iVT Expo USA kicks off next week. This annual event has grown to become one of the events to attend if you design off-highway equipment, like excavators and combines, or technology used in these machines.

And the 2026 edition is shaping up to be another good one. The National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) is once again hosting its Advanced Hydraulics Conference, offering opportunities to learn about new developments and design strategies for mobile hydraulics. All of this year’s sessions look great, but I know I won’t be able to attend them all, so at the moment sessions focused on AI, new system architectures, cybersecurity and noise reduction technologies are among those I’m looking to attend.

I’m also looking forward to seeing the range of technologies that will be on display this year from the fluid power industry as well as other technology areas such as sensors and those in the electrification space. With all the developments taking place to meet industry trends like automation, it’s always nice to have the opportunity to see in person where technology is at and learn how it is aiding customer applications.

Today’s newsletter is the first of three we’ll be sending out with information about the show so those who may be attending, or are just interested in learning more about it, can get a sense of what to expect. Future newsletters, coming August 19 and August 27, will highlight technologies on display and insights gained from this year's event so our readers can stay on top of what is happening in the mobile equipment market — an important customer segment for many.
