We’re nearing the end of another CONEXPO, and as is usually the case, I feel like I saw so many things and yet barely scratched the surface on seeing all the great tech on display at this year’s show.
From what I did see though, there is a lot of work going into making machines and systems easier to use and service, as well as continued efforts to improve the reliability, durability, efficiency and overall performance of components.
Our lead piece in today’s newsletter highlights just some of the technologies I saw at CONEXPO 2026 which exemplify these aspects such as new hydraulic pumps and sensors.
In my interview with Bailey’s Brianna Henderson, also featured in today’s newsletter, she notes the greater emphasis being placed on integrated systems, a trend I also noticed at many booths I visited at the show and a topic which came up during many conversations. By providing an integrated system, there are opportunities to better optimize the design and performance while also helping reduce development work for customers so they can focus on their areas of expertise and bring products to market faster.
We’ve also got another piece in today’s newsletter from my colleagues at Construction Equipment. Keith Gribbons, head of content for Construction Equipment, chatted with our other colleagues Gavin Jenkins from Roads & Bridges and Michael Roth of Rental Equipment Register about some of the automation and connectivity features OEMs were showcasing.
There were a lot of great things to see at this year’s show, much of which I’ll be combing through and writing about in the days and weeks ahead, so be sure to stay tuned for more CONEXPO-related content.
